Literacy Blog Post #8

My partner, Kyla, and I are thinking of making our reality show as a "day in the life of". We would be follow different rich families each episode, showing what their hobby's are, what they house looks like, what they do for fun, etc. The episodes would be about one hour each. This show would be made towards stay at home moms, so it would be played during the day. We are not sure what channel it would be show on. This idea would be interesting and new because we would follow a different family for each episode, which would keep viewers entertained with the different types of family.
Feedback please :)

Literacy Blog #7

The trilogy L.A. Candy written by Lauren Conrad is extremely similar to the older TV show, The Hills. The books of L.A. Candy are about four women (roughly all 19 or older) and their lives. They are on a reality tv show. The show The Hills is a reality tv show that follows four young women. Both of the settings are in L.A. Both main stars from the book and show moved to L.A. from somewhere in the USA because of a job (more or less so). Lauren Conrad was the main star in The Hills and then she quit. She would also be a connection between the show The Hills and the book series L.A. Candy. Lauren Conrad then decided to write about her experiences on the reality TV show, so she created the books L.A. Candy. This is why they are so similar, yet they do have differences. For example, The Hills had 6 seasons when L.A. Candy series had two. Also, before The Hills, there was the reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange Country, and The City was after it. However, Lauren Conrad was only on the first two shows, she quit halfway during The Hills season 5. The names of the stars, producers and shows are different also. I think that L.A. Candy was more successful than The Hills even though The Hills was quite successful also.

The next books I'll pick up will be The Fame Game and Starstruck by Lauren Conrad. They follow the L.A. Candy series. They are not apart of the L.A. Candy series but are the of The Fame Game series. I'm excited to get started reading them!

How Google Docs can help me.

Google Docs can help me because they can help me in English class, for presentations and group work. How it can help this way is it will keep my group and I organised, productive and neat. Everything is organised and Google Docs has everything that we have worked on throughout the entire project, including old drafts. I think it will be easy to use. I like how they have the chat option and how everyone can edit and work on the same project at the same time, from different places. It even works across the world! You and can work on the same doc with someone who is in another country, but that won't help me. It is better than working together in person because in person you can't see what everyone is doing while you are working. With Google Docs, you can take a break from writing and look at your group member's work on the same page! This will be useful for me. Everyone can also view it wherever they have internet! This will help me because sometimes a group project is due on Monday, and I have better ideas that I thought of on the weekend so I can tell my group on Google Docs and then I can edit it into our project if we all agree. It is much easier than sending out emails.
